Forensic Vulnerability

Why Blur Fails Against Depix for Monospace Code

When developers take screenshots of VS Code, iTerm2, or terminal shells, text is rendered in monospaced fonts (like JetBrains Mono, Fira Code, or Menlo) with predictable character widths and spacing.

1. Gradient Leakage

Gaussian blur and pixelation smooth adjacent pixels using math formulas. The resulting color gradients still preserve partial frequency information about letter shapes.

2. Matrix De-Anonymization

Tools like Depix compute the exact blur kernel on standard font matrices, matching blurred glyphs with high statistical certainty until secret tokens are recovered.

3. Opaque Blackout Fix

Bluro Solid Blackout overwrites every pixel in the bounding box with pure RGB (0,0,0). With zero entropy, no mathematical recovery is possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I paste directly from my clipboard?

Yes. Take a screenshot (Cmd+Shift+4 on macOS or Win+Shift+S on Windows) and press Ctrl+V / Cmd+V directly on the workbench.

Are images stored in browser cache?

Images exist solely in JavaScript RAM during your active session. Closing or refreshing the browser tab purges all canvas buffers immediately.
